Business Financial Publishing is seeking a Marketing Manager who wants to help us improve our marketing results through aggressive direct-response marketing. In this position youll work closely and report to our Vice President of Marketing in areas including media management, planning, research, analytics and execution. Every day will be different in this position with a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities as a key team member in this important role. Experience is a plus, but just as important is a positive attitude, an eagerness to learn, and a desire to hit the numbers and succeed. The two key goals of our marketing efforts are: 1. Acquisition of new free users to our e-letters and special reports 2. Conversion of free users into paid newsletter subscribers Job Responsibilities Media buying (direct and using media buyer) Maintain marketing plans and schedules Launch new web sites for lead generation and paid subscription newsletters Manage existing products and web sites Initiate Search Engine Marketing (SEM) efforts Execute marketing campaigns to convert free users into paid subscribers Traffic email advertising through a state of the art email marketing system Develop timely reporting on response rates and key performance indicators Analyze key metrics related to user acquisition and conversion Key Qualifications Organization skills to manage large projects Internet / direct-response marketing experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required Strong understanding of the Internet required Outstanding written and verbal communication skills required Internet / online work experience preferred Interest in investments, stocks, and personal finance preferred This is a full-time position based in our Burlington, Vermont office.
